My name is Sandra, and thanks for visiting my little corner of the internet. Here you’ll find recipes, lame jokes, travel experiences, and a few favorite places around St. Louis (etc).

I’ve been very fortunate to travel a lot so far in life, and the thing it has made me the most grateful for would have to be realizing how much there is right in your own backyard. My family is from Eastern Europe, and some of my earliest memories are cooking with my grandparents/mom/dad/uncle/aunt…so as food is a big part of my life, it’ll be a big part of this blog!

I also recently (2ish years…still recent for me, I guess?) bought a 55 year old house that had seen better days, but still managed to be cleaner during showing than I have ever managed to make it since. Since I regularly have to do home maintenance/follow DIY blogs a-plenty, and always seem to have more ideas than budget/time, you can expect to see home related posts too.

I’ve still got the travel bug, and hope to see as much of the world as I can. But for now, I want to focus on finding out as much as I can about the place I grew up, since it appears I’ll be sticking around for awhile.
